At Skip Ewing’s Horse & Writer Invitational You’ll be offered: A tailor-made schedule and itinerary designed by Skip Ewing and the Horse & Writer staff to support, compliment and encompass the needs and abilities of each participant. We focus on you and ask ourselves, “What can we offer this already talented writer that will help them get to where they want to be?” HIGHLY PERSONALIZED instruction: guidance, suggestions and “fresh ears” on and about new, in-progress, and already written compositions; question & answer sessions; tips on publishing, pitching, and recording your music; serious opportunities to co-write with other selected attendee writers of your caliber; live performances; and all of the incredible songwriting growth and development opportunities afforded only in this exceptional program. consideration for A Single Song publishing Contract with a major Nashville Publisher will be extended to every song with which each attending writer applies. We can’t guarantee anything, but if You’ve got what it takes to make it into Horse & Writer Invitational, we think You ought to be given a real shot at it. The opportunity for your song to be pitched directly to either a major l.a. or nashville artist or a high-level a&r staff member or manager. Assuming the Horse & Writer pro-songwriting staff agrees on its merit and appropriateness, attending writers will have one of their songs heard by a major L.A. or Nashville recording artist, their manager, or an A&R staff member who listens directly for major artists. Assistance in arranging a one-on-one meeting with the performing rights organization of your choice: bmi, ascap, or sesac Horse & Writer Invitational also offers... Comfortable "Old West" style lodging at the incredible Triangle C Ranch in Dubois, WY. Thoughtfully appointed cabins with private bathrooms and in-room refrigerators. 3 home cooked meals a day.
