Skip Ewing’s Horse & Writer™ Invitational
 
A fully completed application form and application package must be submitted in order for a writer to be considered for acceptance into the Horse & Writer Invitational program and receive a written evaluation of his or her writing based on our staff’s experience of listening to all of the songs in the application package. Scholarships for 100% of the amount of tuition will be extended to all writers who are invited and attend. Tuition scholarships cover all mentorship, instruction, food, horseback riding activities, and lodging at the ranch. (You’ll need to make your own travel arrangements. Scholarships do not provide for or include transportation to or from the Horse & Writer Invitational location.) All cabins are double occupancy. Horse & Writer Invitational is not a song contest. It is an unprecedented mentorship program into which you may have the opportunity of being accepted as a writer based on three of your songs and a short questionnaire. (The questionnaire will be provided for you in your application paperwork). Our staff will assess the skill, proficiency and aptitude of each writer by listening to ALL of the songs submitted in his or her application package. Each application package must include a fully completed copy of all necessary application forms, including the writer’s questionnaire, 1 CD, on which all of the songs and only those songs you’re submitting appear, a typed lyric sheet for each song (on plain white paper), and an amount corresponding to the appropriate application fee. Applications may be rejected without the proper submission requirements. Please refer to the Horse & Writer Invitational official rules and application form for complete details on how to submit your application. Submission pricing is as follows: $150 for three songs. Applicable fees should be made payable to: “Horse & Writer” by check, money order, credit card, debit card, or PayPal account receipt.
